For a defined project: moving a warehouse to the cloud, building a pipeline, redesigning dashboards, an AI proof of concept. Budget as a day rate excl. VAT; beyond 7 years of experience, the Data / AI grid is higher than the general one.
Permanent (CDI)
To build a data team that knows your data and your business over time. Indicative early-career benchmarks: about MAD 11,000 net per month up to 2 years, 14,000 between 2 and 4 years. Salary is always compared as net.
In your job ad, you state the contract or contracts on offer. Each candidate has said whether they want a permanent job, a freelance assignment or both: a profile that does not match is set aside from the ranking, but can still be viewed.

I need a data engineer and a candidate comes from BI. Are they ranked?
Yes, in part: business intelligence and data engineering are neighbouring roles, as are data engineering and data science. A candidate whose main role is the one in your job ad ranks higher.
How do I spot real generative AI experience?
Large language models, RAG, LangChain and AI agents are among the recognised skills. They are “proven” when a dated experience in the CV shows them, and their recency is part of the score.
Should the budget be stated as gross?
No, as net: a net monthly salary in dirhams for a permanent role, a day rate excl. VAT for a freelance assignment. Candidates state their ask the same way, so the comparison is direct.
